I, C. Hebick, Master of the S.S. Wieland, do solemnly, sincerely and truly affirm that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said S.S.Wieland at _____________ from which port said Wieland has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

1 Accent mark above the "o" in the surname. Age is mostly blacked out by an
ink blot, looks like it is either 26 or 27.
11-19 Accent mark above the "u" in the surname.
18 Dark black line running through the name made it difficult to be certain about
it. Line probably from a fold.
34 First few letters of last name not readable due to ink mark. Name may be "Hadler"
35 First letter of first name is not readable due to ink mark.
47 Surname maybe Bother.
57 Surname maybe Ketterer.
58 Accent mark above the "u" in the surname.
66-70 Surnames may be Rohm
67 First name is difficult to read may be Cather.
94 Surname maybe Knoblauck.
99 First letter of surname is strange. Could be an "N" or "M" but does not look
like others.
116-120 Passengers were "not shipped", noted in 4 of the columns. Their ages had been
entered but were inked out.

152-153 Can't read surname…maybe something like Kramines
154 Can't read surname…maybe something like Baltmechkewiez
166 Accent mark above the second letter of the surname…which might be an "e" or
an "I". The name does not seem to be that of a country but more likely the
name of a city or town in the U.S.A.
178 Accent mark above the "a" in the surname.
189 Can not read occupation, looks like 2 words, maybe "noter click".
201 Accent mark above the "i" in the surname.
206 Cannot be certain of the first name as much of it is covered by an ink blot.
Name maybe Robert. The surname was difficult to read and could be many other
things.
