I, Robert Jack do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Ship Valentia whereof I am Master, from Liverpool, Eng. So help me God. Sworn to the 13^? day of May 1859

List or Manifest OF ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the Ship Valentia whereof Robert Jack is Master, from Liverpool, Eng burthen 799 51/95tons.
Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, and Died on the Voyage. No Occupation was recorded for any passenger and no deaths were recorded on this voyage; these columns have been omitted from the transcription.

The transcription preserves the original spelling.

The manifest scribe did not number the passengers; the numbers have been added by 
the transcriber to aid with referencing.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words 
indicated.

Nine trunks were brought aboard by the passengers. This was recorded in the Died on Voyage 
column and bracketed across all family members.
