Brig Thomas Swann

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Harry Robinson Master of the Brig "Thomas Swann" do solemnly, sincerely and truly (omitted) that the following List or Manifest,subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Brig at Cartagena S. A.* from which port said Brig has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

List or Manifest OF ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the the* Brig "Thomas Swann" whereof H. Robinson is Master, from Cartagena* burthen 200 tons.
Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on the Voyage, and Space Occupied. The Space Occupied for all passengers was recorded as "Cabin" and this column has been omitted from the transcription. No deaths were recorded on this voyage; the manifest scribe used this column to include baggage brought aboard.

The transcription preserves the original spelling.

The manifest scribe did not number the passengers; the numbers have been added by the 
transcriber to aid with referencing.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words 
indicated.

* Country of Port of Embarkation not specified, probably Cartagena, Colombia.  Some
  passengers are from New Granada which is in Colombia.

* The first "the" is printed on form; the second "the" was handwritten by manifest scribe.

 2 Ending of baggage brought aboard illegible.
 2-6 Surname could be Ribon or Ribou.
 5-6 Children listed on one line as Rosa & Thomas, ages recorded 
     as "3 & 5".
 8 Surname overwritten, could be Harroun or Karroun; Sex was recorded 
   originally as 'mariner' and appears to have been partially lined through.
13 Ending of surname illegible.
16-17 No other information provided for these passengers.
