Transcriber's Notes:
There was only an abbreviated Captain's statement with this document which he did not
sign.
The original lister numbered the passengers.
A question mark (?) is used for letter/letters that cannot be read because of the
quality of the document. Where possible a suggestion is given in the Transcriber's
Notes of what this letter/letters may be.
An asterisk (*) is used to refer to an item in the transcriber's notes, which
further explains the entry.
The lister used the "leading s", which looks like an "f", but is actually a first
"s" in the case of a double "s". The transcriber has shown this as a double "s", where
found. An example would be the name Nassen and Prussia.
3 The age cannot be read because of a stamp that is covering it. The first digit is not
a "3", as is the wife's, but it may be a "4".
10 Surname: Either Brntz or Bentz.
41-46 Surname: Weher, Weber.
56 Came from Wurtemberg.
72-74 Surname: Lauhenthal or Lanhenthal. Perhaps this name is really Lauenthal or
Lanenthal?
88 This name is at the fold of the document. The surname could be Zimmerman and the
second given name may begin with an "Sa" or "Pa". All of the missing letters in
the surname seem to rest on the line, neither going above the line nor below it.
