DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Brownless do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest,subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Karnak whereof I am Master, from Nassau.

Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, and Died on the Voyage. No deaths were recorded on the voyage; the manifest scribe overwrote the column title to read "Whether Citizen or Alien".

?  The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to quality
   of the original document.

^  The use of a ^ indicates that the letter/letters following are superscripted.

The transcription preserves the original spelling.

The manifest scribe did not number the passengers; the numbers have been added by the 
transcriber to aid with referencing.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words 
indicated.

The manifest scribe used a Germanic letter resembling 'fs'; to aid in reading, these
have been transcribed to 'ss'.

* Nassau, New Providence is in the Bahamas.

11 Surname could be Barmingham or Bermingham.
