I, James Craig, Master of the S.S. "Iowa", do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said Vessel at Glasgow and Moville from which Ports the said Vessel has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said Voyage and the names and ages of those who died.

Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.
A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.
The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
numbered in the original manifest.
The entry "United States" in the native country and destination country columns
is shortened to "U. States" for formatting reasons.
The recorder listed the Occupations of most of the passengers as "None". While this was
common practice for women and children passengers, it was not common practice for adult
men, and indeed almost all adult men had an Occupation of some sort. The meaning of
"None" in this manifest is not clear. It might mean that the recorder either didn't ask
or didn't record the passenger's Occupation, or the passenger did not disclose his
Occupation. However, it is more likey that "None" here means that the adult male passenger
was a general laborer without a specific trade such as mason, carpenter, butcher, etc.
9 A notation associated with this child passenger states that she "Died, Not
Baptised".
15 Surname appears to be written as "Grahame", but might possibly be "Graham".
28-30 Surname is either "Lowcock" or "Sowcock".
50 Surname is recorded as "Russel", but might possibly be "Russell".
51-54 Surname is recorded as "Paton", but might possibly be "Patton".
56 Surname is recorded as "Gallaher", but might possibly be "Gallagher".
70 Surname is partially obscured by damage to the manifest and cannot be deciphered.
71 Surname is recorded as "Kelley", but might possibly be "Kelly".
72 Last three letters of surname are not clearly written and cannot be deciphered with
certainty, but name is possibly "Eyrie" or "Eyree".
85-87 Surname is recorded as "Gerathy", but might possibly be "Gerrety", "Geratty",
"Gerrity" or "Geraghty".
88 Surname is recorded as "Nohally", but might possibly be "Nohilly".
90 Surname is recorded as "Downs", but might possibly be "Downes".
96 Surname is recorded as "Feeny", but might possibly be "Feeney".
120 Surname is recorded as "Deuly" or "Devly", but might possibly be "Dooley"
or "Devilly".
123-128 Surname appears to be written as "Lutimer", but might possibly be "Latimer".
