I, J. Meyer, master of the S.S. Frisia do solemnly, sincerely, and truly affirm that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me and now delivered to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said S.S. Frisia at Hamburg, Germany & Havre, France from which ports said Frisia has now arrived; and that on the said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of the said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.So Help me God,Sworn to this Dec 8th 1876 (unreadable signature)

221 Surname may be Duse or Desse.
229 Surname may be Eggenbeye or Ezzenbeye. Firther on in the list are two groups with
similar names that look like Egzenberger.
--- Handwritten compilation at end of steerage states 262 passengers whereas manifest
lists 259; difference is accountable probably by the one baby that died and two
listed passengers that never boarded (94, and 95).
266 Surname difficult to read, looks like Keanss, but may be Kramer
268 Accent mark above the "o" in the first name.
273 Surname maybe Glooke or Glocke.
275 Ink smears/blots made last few letters of surname and occupation unreadable.
276 The 3 passengers following this one had no passenger numbers, were heavily lined
through and noted as "not on board".
279 Surname may be Hinriches or Himiches.
289 Occupation could not be read, may be "private".
