Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.
The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
numbered in the original manifest.
The entry "United States" in the native country and destination country columns
is shortened to "U. States" for formatting reasons. "Male" and "Female" in the
Sex column are shortened to "M" and "F" for the same reason.
2-4 Surname is recorded as "McTamany", but might possibly be "McTaminy".
3 Passenger's Age is recorded as "3 1/2 years", yet Occupation is listed as
"Wife", certainly a recording error.
12 Passenger's Occupation is not clearly written and cannot be deciphered with
certainty, but appears to befin with "M" or "Sh" followed by "op" followed
by either "man" or "onard". Might possibly be "Shopman".
17 Surname appears to be "Ogilvine" or "Ogilrine", but might possibly be "Ogilvie".
22 Given name appears to be written as "Jengs", but might possibly be "George".
30 Surname is recorded as "Gererty", but might possibly be "Garrity", "Gearty",
Geretty" or "Geraghty".
32 Passenger has the feminine given name "Margaret" and Occupation "Spinster",
yet Sex is recorded as "Male", probably a recording error.
33 Surname is recorded as "Coughley", but might possibly be "Coughlan".
35 Surname is recorded as "Gererty", but might possibly be "Garrity", "Gearty",
Geretty" or "Geraghty".
36 Surname is recorded as "Fauthine", but might possibly be "Faughton" or "Faughley".
37 Surname is recorded as "Moneny", but might possibly be "Mongey" or "Mongney".
42-45 Surname is recorded as "McGinnes", but might possibly be "McGinnis".
47-48 Surname is recorded as "Thomason", but might possibly be "Thompson" or "Thomson".
51 First part of surname cannot be deciphered with certainty, but name is possibly
"Fothingham". Passenger's Age appears to be written as 75, but might possibly be 25.
58 Surnameappears to be written as "McRay", but might possibly be "McKay".
59 Surname is recorded as "Corbet", but might possibly be "Corbett".
