I, C. K. Sawyer,Master of the Ship Benjn Aymar do solemnly, sincerely and truly blank that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said unreadable Aymar at Antwerp from which port said B. Aymar has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to wich each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. An asterisk indicates an error or omission made on the part of the original
recorder, not the transcriber or is used to call your attention to additional
information in the Transciber's Notes below. The original recorder seems
to have made many errors in the sex and occupation columns. The transcriber
has indicated where in his opinion these errors appear to have occurred. The
recorder also neglected to include ditto marks in many instances.
The ? marks indicates letters or word that cannot be read due to the quality
of the document.
8 First name might indicate that this passenger is a male.
11 First name and occupation would indicate that this passenger is a male.
12 First name might indicate that this passenger is a male.
24-25 It is unlikely that a female would have an occupation, however the name
is female. The ditto marks were probably left in place, when the occupation
should have been blank.
25 Last name could be Ratzer.
30 Last name could be Eoch.
31-32 Sirname and occupation would indicate that this passenger is a male.
34-38 Last name could be Oronaner.
35 This is likely the spouse of 34. She will be recorded in the sirname list
under both last names.
37-38 Dittos are missing for last name, but obvious these belong to the
family 34-36.
38 This passenger is likely a male.
46 This is likely the spouse of 45. She will be recorded in the sirname list
under both last names.
51 Last name could be Reih or Rei?.
53 Last name could indicate that this person is a male.
