The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to quality of the original document. ^ The use of a ^ indicates that the letter/letters following are superscripted. The transcription preserves the original spelling. The manifest was difficult to transcribe because of poor penmanship and ink blots and smears; additional research should be undertaken to confirm findings. The manifest scribe did not number the passengers; the numbers have been added by the transcriber to aid with referencing. All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words indicated. The manifest scribe used vertical lines probably to indicate continuation/duplication of the last written word(s). * Burthen tonnage was recorded originally as 1286 tons, lined out. 1-4 First letters of first name obscured by ink blot. 3 Center letters of surname illegible. 4 Name could be ??gnes McCarthy. 6 Surname could be Woren. 7 Surname could be Bryant or Bryont. 8 Beginning of surname illegible because of ink blot. 9 Center letters of first name illegible because of ink blot. 11 Age illegible because of ink smear. 12 Ending of first name illegible. 12-16 Age recorded as a vertical line. 14 Last letter of first name illegible. 15 First name could be Constena or Constina. 16 Ending letters of first name illegible, last letter could be 'h' or 'k'.
