So help me God. (Signature) H Carly

Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.
A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.
The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
numbered in the original manifest.
The recorder did not use ditto marks to indicate "same as above". Many surname, sex
and occupation entries are left blank and the reader is confronted with the problem of
interpreting the recorder's intended meaning. The transcriber uses the surname of the
passenger above for cases of children whose surname is left blank, and uses the sex last
entered for a passenger above, and correlates this interpretation with whether the
passenger has a masculine or feminine given name. Occupations are only given in the
transcription if the recorder entered them. Since it was common for recorders not to
make an entry in the occupation column for female passengers or for children, a possible
though not a certain interpretation of the intended occupation where left blank is that
of the occupation of the last adult male entered above.
7 First digit of passenger's Age is not decipherable. Age is possibly
4, 24 or 34.
12 Surname apopears to be written as "Gorell" or "Gorelly".
14 Surname is recorded as "Connel", but might possibly be "Connell".
17-18 Surname is possibly "Vingut" or "Vinzut".
24 Letters of the last half of the surname are not carefully formed and cannot
be deciphered.
25-29 Surname is either "Sanvan" or "Lanvan".
28 First few letters of given name are overwritten and cannot be deciphered
with certainty, but name might possibly "Amelie".
38 Letter in the first half of surname are not carefully formed and cannot be
deciphered. Name is possibly "Beaumont" or "Bromont".
43 Surname is either "Lanbol" or "Sanbol".
48 Surname is either "Steinkiscke" or "Steinkiscker".
55-56 Surname is possibly "Jircher", "Jucher" or "Incher".
59 Surname is either "Dollhofer" or "Dallhofer".
65-67 Surname appears to be "Bonch", "Bauch", "Banch" or "Barich".
70 Surname appears to be either "Berringer" or "Bewinger".
71 Surname is either "Lattl", "Latth", "Sattl" or "Satth".
72 Surname is either "Grebal" or "Grebel".
75 Surname is either "Werland" or "Weiland".
84-88 Surname is possibly "Rebet", "Reber" or "Rebev".
110 Surname appears to be either "Wobiol" or "Wobrol".
127-130 Family surname is recorded as "Spoeni", "Spoeri", "Spoin". or "Spoem".
134-135 Surname appears to be either "Bomestein" or "Bowestein".
140 Given name appears to be either "Luding" or "Ludwig". Passenger has Sex
recorded as "Female", yet Occupation is listed as "Tailor", possibly a
recording error.
141-143 Passengers all have masculine given name and recorded Occupations, yet Sex
is recorded as "Female", likely a recording error.
152-156 Last two letters are poorly formed and cannot be deciphered with certainty,
but name is possibly "Earshan", "Earshon", "Earshar" or "Earshor".
153 Passenger has the feminine given name "Anna" and her Sex is recorded as
"Female", yet Occupation is listed as "Laborer", likely a recording error.
156-157 The recorded Sex of these passengers is not readable and does not resemble
previously recorded entries for "Male" or "Female".
157 Passenger's Occupation appears to be written as "Schppter", possibly
meant to imply "Sculptor" or "Shipper".
160 Surname is possibly "Haspa", "Haspar", "Haspor" or "Haspov.
169 Surname appears to be either "Freyl" or "Frugl".
186 Surname is possibly "Galler", "Gallier" or "Galber".
187 Passenger's Occupation begins with "Br" followed by one or two
undecipherable letters followed by "er". Occupation is posssibly "Brewer".
203 Passenger has the feminine given name "Marie" and Sex is listed as "Female",
yet Occupation is recorded as "Laborer", possibly a recording error.
Surname is either "Ersham" or "Esham".
204 Surname is either "Stanley" or "Starley".
