DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Lancelot F Pritchard, Master of the Steam Ship "Tripoli", do
solemnly, sincerely, and truly declare that the following List or Manifest,
subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of
the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the
Passengers taken on board the said Steam Ship "Tripoli" at Liverpool from
which Port the said S.S. "Tripoli" has now arrived; and that on said
List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said
passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the
country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by
each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth
the number of said Passengers who have died on said Voyage and the names and
ages of those who died.

to become inhabitants, and the part of the vessel occupied during the voyage.

Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.
A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.
The recorder of the manifest often abbreviates a passenger's Occupation, such as
"Mech" for Mechanic, "Labr" for Laborer, "Spin" for Spinster, "Mat" for Matron,
"Chd" for Child, and "Inft" for Infant.
The entry "United States" in the native country and destination country columns
is shortened to "U. States" for formatting reasons. "Male" and "Female" in the
Sex column are shortened to "M" and "F" for the same reason.
8-10 Surname is possibly "Fuechi", "Fuichi", "Fruchi" or "Fiuchi".
24 Surname is either "Wetherell", "Wetherill" or "Wethwell".
30 Surname is recorded as "Howill", but might possibly be "Howell".
32 Surname is either "Hustler" or "Husker".
49 Surname begins with "Sch" followed by a letter or letters which resembles
an "m" followed by "win". Name is possibly "Schnikwin" or "Schickwin".
50 Given name begins with "k" or possibly "H", followed by a letter or letters
which resembles a "u", followed by "k". Name is possibly "Kuk" ir "Kirk".
54 Surname is recorded as "Lupald", but might possibly be "Leopold".
55 Surname is either "Gusting" or "Gutting".
66 Surname begins with "N" or "W" followed by two or three poorly formed
letters, one of which is possibly an "i".
