Ship Palestine
I, Edward G. Tucker Master of the Ship Palestine do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said ship at London from which port said ship has now arrived, and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant, and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. So help me God, E G Tucker.
Sworn to this Augt 6 1855
Before me H Callman DC.
List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Ship Palestine whereof E G Tucker is Master, from London burthen 6751 tons.
Columns represent: names, ages (years/months), sex, occupation, the country to which they severally belong, the country in which they intend to become inhabitants. There were no deaths during the voyage so that column is eliminated. The first 17 passengers (Joseph Union to Henry H Crocker) occupied the cabin, and all the rest were in the upper between deck area, so the column labeled part of vessel occupied is left blank.

Transcriber's Notes:
* The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the original recorder or
is used to call your attention to additional information in the Transcriber's Notes.
? The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that were omitted or could not be read
due to quality of original document or penmanship of original recorder.
^ The use of a caret (^) indicates that the next letter is superscripted by the
original recorder.
Passengers were not numbered on the manifest; numbers have been added by the
transcriber.
72 and 73 - William and E?ma ?l? - There is a large defect in the manifest over the
names, but it appears that the surname could be either Flu, Fles or Ples, and
the given name of #73 is Emma.
78 - Naomi Price - In the Occupation column "Farmer" is written in and then crossed
out.
83 and 84 - Rennie - In the Occupation column "professors of Music" is written in
on two lines, suggesting that at least these two, and possibly all four Rennie
women are musicians.
129 and 130 - Co??er - Unable to read the middle letters. It appears that the
original recorder wrote "Coo", then crossed out the second "o" with a forward
slash, then wrote "pper". He used a ditto mark for #130, but then wrote out
"Cooper" for #131, a child, and ditto marks for the next 2 children. So
your transcriber thinks the surname of 129 and 130 is probably Cooper, but
could be Copper.
