Transcriber's Notes:

A question mark indicates material that was indecipherable.
An asterisk indicates further information found in the passenger notes.
Spellings of place names have been transcribed as found in the manuscript, i.e. Pensylvania.
The original contains ditto marks which seem incorrect, especially when indicating occupations being the same
as the head of household for the wife and all children.

8 Surname may be Franck.
9 Surname has an umlauted "a" so may also be Waehler.
11 Surname has an umlauted "o" so may also be Schloepke
13 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Schuette.
18 Surname has an umlauted "a" so may also be Baecker.
22 Note in far right column says: landed at Baltimore in the year
1849 in the ship Isabel (Amerie) from Havre.
27 Surname has an umlauted "a" so may also be Deichgraeber.
28 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Mueller.
29 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Wuest.
33-35 Surname has an umlauted "a" so may also be Laenge.
40 There seems to be an umlaut over the "o" in which case the name may
         also be spelled Loewy.
41 Given name has an umlauted "o."
46 Surname has an umlauted "o" so may also be Schroeder.
47-48 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Mueller.
49 I believe this is my great-grandmother's sister. She went to Perrysburg,
Ohio and her marriage record in June of 1865 to a Joh. B. Ricklefs can be found
in the records of Zoar Lutheran Church there.
50 Surname has an umlauted "o" so may also be Loescher. Also, note in far
right column says: landed in New York in the Brem. Ship Helene in the year 1852.
51 Surname has an umlauted "o" so may also be Hoelzer.
59-64 These entries have ditto marks indicating an occupation. Since most
women were not listed with an occupation, and its unlikely the children
had an occupation, this is perhaps a sribe's error or may indicate that these
         passengers belong together.
63-64 No age given for these two entries. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing
child) is written across the columns.
69 The "v." in the name indicates "von" so name is von Zastrow.
70 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Huehnerberg.
81 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)

95-98 Surname has an umlauted "a" so may also be Paetcker.
99-100 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Buescher.
104 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
106-108 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Luebbert.
109-110 Surname has an umlauted "a" so may also be Paetcker.
114 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
130 Surname difficult to decipher because it looks like three "n's" in a row; thus,
it looks like Wannnes, which is unlikely. It may be an error, and perhaps the
name ought to be Warnnes or Wannes as for entries 192 & 193 later on the list.
139 Surname seems to be Jost.
144 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
147 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
155 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
172 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
176-179 Surname wrtten as v. Alt; however, for entry #175 it is written out in full,
         i.e. von Alt.
183 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
189-190 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Gruenkemeyer.
195 Note in far right column says: landed in New York in the year 1853 from
London in the american Ship London.
195-196 See above footnote also. Both passengers are listed as being from the
         United States.
214 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
227 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
232/234 Second letter of surname may be an umlauted "a" or "o," Thus, the name
may be Johnk, Jahnk, or alternatively: Joehnk, Jaehnk.
238-242 Surname has an umlauted "o" so may also be Moeller.
242 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)

         is written across the columns.
247 Surname has an umlauted "o" so may also be Moeller.
248 It seems that the given name ought to be Conrad.
259 No age given for this entry. Only the word "Suckling" (nursing child)
         is written across the columns.
270 Surname has an umlauted "o" so may also be Foerschbach.
271 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Mueller.
279 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may also be Luettmer.
281 Passenger listed as from New York with destination as United States.
281-282 Surname has an umlauted "o" so may also be Woedeck.
