Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.
The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
numbered in the original manifest.
"Male" and "Female" in the Sex column are shortened to "M" and "F" for
formatting reasons.
The recorder did not always use ditto marks to indicate "same as above". Many
occupation entries are left blank and the reader is confronted with the problem
of interpreting the recorder's intended meaning. Occupations are only given in
the transcription if the recorder entered them. Since it was common for recorders
not to make an entry in the occupation column for female passengers or for children,
a possible though not a certain interpretation of the intended occupation where
left blank is that of the occupation of the last adult male entered above.
1-2 Surname is either "Ruhlenkamp" or "Kuhlenkamp".
5 Surname is possibly "Roasche", "Roesche, "Rossche", "Boasche", "Boesche"
or "Bossche".
8 Given name appears to be either "Haver" or "Xaver". Surname is either
"Grabheer" or "Grabhur".
9-10 Surname is possibly "Roasche", "Roesche, "Rossche", "Boasche", "Boesche"
or "Bossche".
12-15 Native Country is recorded as "Wurtenberg", perhaps intending "Wurttemberg".
Destination Country appears to be written as "Tonston", but might possibly
be "Jonston" or even "Houston".
18 Surname is either "Potsch" or "Patsch" with an umlaut above the first vowel.
22 Child passenger's Age is possibly written as 2 years-6 months.
23 Surname is either "Angemann" or "Augemann".
25 Surname is either "Tornowsky" or "Tarnowsky".
32 Passenger's Occupation is not clearly written, but appears to be "Storkatler".
36 There appears to be an umlaut above the "o" in surname "Robs".
39-42 First part of the passenger's Occupation is not visible, but last part is
"iner", possibly though not certainly Miner. Destination Country is
recorded as "Albini", possibly intending "Albany".
45 Surname is either "Kurland" or "Rurland".
55-56 Surname is either "Bennikamp" or "Bennekamp".
57 There is an umlaut above the "u" in surname "Luss".
58 Surname is either "Griepel" or "Grispel".
