Transcriber's Notes:

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
  definitely.

An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.

The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
  numbered in the original manifest.

The entry "United States" in the native country and destination country columns
is shortened to "U. States" for formatting reasons. "Male" and "Female" in the
Sex column are shortened to "M" and "F" for the same reason.

3 Given name is partially overwritten and not decipherable. Passenger's full
Occupation is recorded as "US Consul at Vera Cruz".
5 Surname appears to be either "Johchow" or "Jotichow".
9 Passenger's Occupation is not decipherable. It appears to be three letters,
beginning with "C" or "O" followed by "ak". Perhaps intended to be "Clerk".
14 Surname appears to begin with the letter "T", but even that letter is in
doubt. The remainder of the name is not decipherable.
15-16 Surnames of husband and wife appear to be spelled differently. Husband's
surname appears to begin with "G" followed by "ar" followed by two undecipherable
letters followed by "de". Wife's surname begins with "J" followed by "ar"
followed by "side". Surname is possibly "Garside" or "Jarside".
