Ship Margaret Evans

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Selden C Warner Master of the Ship Margaret Evans do solemnly, sincerely and truly Swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship Margaret Evans at London from which port said Margaret Evans has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

List or Manifest OF ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the Ship Margaret Evans whereof Selden C. Warner is Master, from London burthen 899 93/95tons.
Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on the Voyage, and Part of the Vessel occupied by each passenger during the voyage. Space Occupied was recorded in front of the passenger names and again in the Space Occupied column. The Destination for all passengers was recorded as "U S." and no deaths were recorded on the voyage; these columns have been omitted from the transcription.

    3 Occupation as written.
    5 Last letter of surname illegible.
   15 Age illegible because of ink smear.
17-18 5th and 8th letters of surname illegible.
   27 Surname could be Haggett or Huggett.
