Ship James R Keeler
I, Heny* M. Allen Master of the Ship James R Keeler do solemnly, sincerely and truly (illegible) that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship at London from which port said ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

The Destination for all passengers was 'America'; no deaths were recorded on this voyage; the Space Occupied for all passengers was 2^nd Cabin; these columns have been omitted from the transcription.

This manifest was difficult to read because of poor penmanship, fading, and overwriting;
additional research should be undertaken to confirm findings.
The manifest scribe did not number the passengers; the numbers have been added by the transcriber.
All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words indicated.
A review of a previous voyage of this ship in 1858 under the command of the same captain shows that
the name of the Captain is Henry M. Allen.
1 First name could be miswritten Edmund.
2 First name heavily overwritten, illegible; Occupation as written.
7 Occupation mostly illegible.
9-12 Although the surname for psgr 9 is clearly 'Hard' and the surname for
psgrs 10-12 is clearly 'Hand', this could be a family traveling together,
'Hard' or 'Hand' surname for all.
17 Occupation as written.
18 Most of Occupation illegible, could be miswritten Wheelwright.
21 3rd letter of surname illegible; Country of Origin heavily overwritten,
illegible.
23 23 3rd & 5th letters of surname not clear, could be Ramor, Ranor, Ramos, or Ranos.
24 Occupation mostly illegible.
25 2nd number of Age obscured by stamp on top.
29 Ending of Occupation illegible.
