Transcriber's Notes:

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
  definitely.

An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.

A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.

The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
  numbered in the original manifest.

The recorder of the manifest often abbreviates a passenger's Occupation, such as
"Mech" for Mechanic and "Lab" for Laborer.

14-18 The Ages of these passengers are not recorded.
19 The Age of this passenger is recorded but is obscured by damage to the
manifest. Surname too is partially obscured, but is possibly "Cherry".
40 Surname is recorded as "Reilley", but might possibly be "Reilly".
41-42 Surname is possibly "Sewright", "Seewright" or "Suwright".
50 Surname is recorded as "Gallacher", but might possibly be "Gallagher".
61-63 Last part of surname is obscured by damage to the manifest and not
            decipherable.
63-67 Damage to the manifest obscured the recorded Ages of these passengers.

National Archives and Records Administration, Film M237, Reel 290, List 1.
