I, James B Thompson* do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear, that the following List or Manifest, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Steamship "Glasgow" whereof I am Master, from Glasgow.

The transcription preserves the original spelling.

The manifest scribe numbered the passengers.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words 
indicated.

The captain's surname was recorded as 'Thompson' and 'Thomson'; his signature is 'Thomson'
but the leading initials are illegible.

 1-7 Last letter of surname not clear, could be Lander or Landes.
 9 3rd letter of surname illegible.
29-32 4th letter of surname not clear, could be Coults or Coutts.
48 The manifest scribe restarted with #1 at change in Space Occupied; 
   the transcriber has renumbered sequentially to aid with referencing.
59 Last letter of surname not clear, could be Ballic or Ballie.
61 Last letter of surname not clear, could be Simone or Simoni.
