Ship Daniel Webster
I, Samuel L Spencer Master of the Ship Daniel Webster do solemnly, sincerely and truly Swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York,is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship Daniel Webster at London from which port said Ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

The transcription preserves the original spelling. The manifest scribe did not number the passengers; the numbers have been added by the transcriber. All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words indicated. The manifest scribe used vertical lines probably to indicate continuation/duplication of the last written word(s). Check marks written after surnames for passengers: 3-4, 8-13, 15-24, 26-32, 34-36, 56-60, 62-70, 76-100, 107-109, 113, without explanation. 1 1st word of Occupation illegible. 2 4th letter of surname not clear, could be Shueman or Shulman. 50 2nd number of Age not clear, could be 23y or 28y. 52 Name could be Joseph Beraghi. 60 "Carls" written in Died on Voyage column, no explanation. 62 Occupation Gardener. 79 Surname heavily overwritten and partially illegible, could be Abrahams. 89 2nd letter of surname illegible. 94 2nd letter of surname illegible. 95-100 This is probably a family traveling together, surname Schnapp or Schnepps for all. 116 End of surname not clear, could be Knafes or Knass; Notation in Destination column, "Born at Sea"; no other information provided.
