DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, John T. Winchester Master of the Ship Cornelius G???el?* do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York,is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship at Lpool London from which port said Ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on the Voyage, and Part of the Vessel occupied by each passenger during the voyage. The Destination for all passengers was United States and no deaths were recorded on this voyage; these columns have been omitted from the transcription.

The manifest scribe did not number the passengers; the numbers have been added by the 
transcriber.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words indicated.

*Last word in name of ship illegible because of ink blot.
*Portion of captain's signature illegible because of handwriting.
*Ending of captain's surname not clear.
*Burthen tonnage smeared, not clear.

15 Country of Origin obscured by fold/crease in paper, probably England
16 1st and 3rd letters of surname obscured by fold/crease in paper.
17 Occupation probably Tailor.
29 Center letters of first name illegible because of handwriting.
31 7th letter of surname not clear, could be Schechner or Schechuer.
39-40 First letter of surname not clear, could be 'H', 3rd letter of surname could be 'e' or
   'r'; 5th letter of surname illegible; Haep?old or Harp?old
42 2nd letter of surname illegible because of upward strokes from surname below.
43 3rd and 4th letters of first name not clear, could be 'r' or 's, 6th letter of first name
   could be 'nn' or 'rn' - Viertornett, Viertonnett, Viestornett, or Viestonnett.
43-45 1st letter of surname not clear, could be 'O', 4th letter of surname could be 'ene' or
   'one', Otphene or Otphone.
