Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.
A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.
The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
numbered in the original manifest.
The recorder of the manifest often abbreviates given names by writing the first few
letters of the name, then skipping letters and then writing the final letter as
superscripted. In these cases, the transcriber uses the symbol (^) to indicate that
the following letter is superscripted, i.e., Tho^s for Thomas, Sam^l for Samuel,
W^m for William, etc. Othertimes, the recorder abbreviates names by writing the
first few letters, skipping letters and then adding the final letter of the name,
i.e., Patk for Patrick, Margt for Margaret, Thos for Thomas, etc..
7 Surname appears to be either "Canuth" or "Cameth". Passenger's Age is
overwritten and not decipherable with certainty, but might possibly be 11,
although this is probably too young to have an occupation as a "Clerk".
12 Passenger's name is partially obscured by damage to the manifest, but given
name appears to begin with "M" although the remainder of the name appears to
look like "illiam" so the name might possibly be "William".
19-20 Surname is either "Caufield" or "Canfield".
36 Last part of surname is not clearly written and cannot be deciphered with
certainty, but name is possibly "Sheehan", "Sheahan or "Sherlin".
53 Surname appears to be "Henry", but might possibly be "McHenry".
59 Surname is possibly "Rossbonnigh", "Rossborrigh" or "Rossborregh".
63-64 Surname is recorded as "Hughs", but might possibly be "Hughes".
66 A horizontal line is drawn through this passenger's name. This usually
indicates that the person was not aboard when the ship embarked.
69 Third letter of given name is not clearly written and cannot be deciphered
with certainty, but name is possibly "Jake" or "Jane".
71 Surname is either "Connelly" or "Connolly".
84 Surname appears to be either "Band" or "Baud".
