Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the transcriber,
or is used to call your attention to additional information in the Transcriber's Notes
below.
? The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to quality of the
original document.
^ The use of a ^ indicates that the letter/letters following are superscripted.
: The use of a : may indicate an abbreviated name.
The transcription preserves the original spelling.
The manifest scribe numbered the passengers; however the scribe restarted the numbering at
'1' with the change in Space Occupied. For ease in referencing comments, the transcriber
continued with consecutive numbering.
All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words indicated.
The manifest scribe used a Germanic letter resembling 'fs'; to aid in reading, these have
been transcribed to 'ss'.
A notation "260" is written at the end of the manifest. A careful count of the passengers was
made by the transcriber and it indicates a total of 270 passengers. The reason for the
discrepancy is not clear, could be the total number of passengers minus the number of
passengers identified as infants (270-10).
12 1st number of Age not clear, could be 28y or 38y.
15-16 First name, most of surname, and Age illegible because of darkening under adhesive
