I, Richard L Ber?ting* Master of the Ship Aurora do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York,is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship Aurora at Liverpool from which port said Aurora has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

The manifest scribe used a Germanic letter resembling 'fs'; to aid in reading, these have been transcribed to 'ss'. Captain's surname could be Bernting. "Passangers" misspelled, should be "Passengers". 2-3 Destination omitted. 42 Age illegible because of heavy overwriting. 43-44 Surname recorded as "O.Neill". 63-66 Surname recorded as "O.Neill". 69 First name illegible, recorded originally as Matthew. 92 Surname may be miswritten McCarthy. 123 Age not clear, could be 7y. 154 2nd number of Age illegible because of ink blotting and smearing. 187 5th letter of surname illegible because of overwriting. 191 1st number of Age not clear, could be 14y or 24y. 201 Based on first name and Sex, Occupation is "Son". 202 Occupation illegible because of heavy overwriting.
