I, W.H.P. Hains, Master of the RMS Aurania do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of the City of New York is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Liverpool and Queenstown from which port said vessel has now arrived, and that on said list is truly designated the age, sex, calling, country of citizenship, native country, location of compartment or space occupied, intended destination or location, number of pieces of baggage, and date and cause of death of passengers, as required by the Passenger Act of 1882; also a true statement, so far as it can be ascertained with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. 672 - given name unreadable because none of the letters between the D and Y are formed
clearly, likely due to too much ink on the pen. Daisy could be a possiblity.
673 - top of the first numeral in the age is obliterated by a hole or a large ink smear on the
manifest. Age is 32 or 52.
674 - surname may be Anchis.
675,676 - surname could be Hasted.
677 - numeral in the baggage column is heavily smeared. It may be a 6.
680 - surname may be de Comean.
696 - surname could be McWhater,McWhuter or McWherter.

if there may be a line through the name, age, sex, calling and baggage of this passenger.
792 - surname for this passenger is represented by 'do' indicating that it is the same
as the passenger preceding it.

794 - surname is too faint to read. It appears to be 8 to ten letters long.
795 - the word 'do' indicates that this passenger has the same surname as passenger 794.

797 - there is an inkspot next to the initial G. It is possible there may be a letter or

time and expertise in an attempt to accurately transcribe the name of this passenger.
875 - given name indecipherable. The letters are poorly defined and heavily inked. Could be
Constantine. The last letters of the surname are poorly formed. There are two to three
of them and they are all short letters. The third letter could be an r.
It is followed by a slightly inclined line with a slight hump at the end of it that finishes
right before the last letter which appears as a round spot, so could be an o or perhaps an e.
Surname could be Zar?o,Zaro,Zare or Zar?e.
