Transcriber's Notes:
*An asterisk is used to call your attention to additional information in the notes below.
*A column representing Date and Cause of death has been omitted because it was not used.
*For passengers 441 through 529, the country listed in each entry was listed in the column
headed The country of which they are citizens. The column headed Native Country was not used.
*For passengers 530 through 658, the country listed in each entry was listed in the column
headed Native Country. The column headed The Country of which they are citizens was not used.
*Question marks represent letters or numbers that are unclear due to either the condition of
the manifest or the handwriting of the list maker. Where possible, further information
about these letters or numbers is given in these transcriber's notes.
*An apostrophe indicates that the letter following is a superscript.
447 - occupation may be an abbreviation of manufacturer.
448 - surname may be Mary.
449 - middle initial may be H.
458 - though there is an 83 in the baggage column, it does not appear as though they are
intended to indicate 83 pieces of luggage. It seems more likely that it is a notation
representing a running tally of the total baggage count.
462,463 - surname may be Deblin.
465,466 467 - surname could be Brandow.
464 - surname may be Leadbitter.
470 - surname may be Mary.
475,476 - it is possible that what appears to be an a that was not closed at the top,
could instead be the letters ei. Therefore, the surname could be Greidy.
481 - surname may be Kershaw, Kirshan or Kirshaw.
507 - surname could be Pattow.
515 - surname may be Briarly, Breasly or Brearly.
520 - given name could be Luane or Luana.
521 - letters in surname are very indistinct, appearing like a series of small peaks.
There may be as many as 7 letters in the surname or as few as 5. Surname could
be Bernice, Bermie, Banice, Bamie.
524 - middle initial may be an L.
532 - given name may be Daniel.
535 - occupation may be Dry Goods.
537 - the missing letters of the surname are a series of low letters. The surname could
be something like Schwinn.
545 - the end of the given name is poorly formed. Could be Ellen.
546 - surname could be Garry. Age could be 35.
547,548 - surname could be Saracles, Sa?acles.
574,575,576 - surname could be Clute.
589,590 - possible that the surname is Cordis although there is no dot to indicate an i
rather than an e. Am leaving open this posibility due to passenger 592, a child whose
surname definitely appears to be Cordis.
592 - see note for 589,590.
610 - surname could be Rainaw,Ranaw,Ramaw, Rainam,Ranam or Ramam.
611 - surname may be Erismann.
617 - surname could be Juban.
626 - there is an ink spot or a hole in the manifest next to the s in the surname. There
may be additional letters in the surname that are not readable because of the damage.
The first digit in the age is also affected, though it could be a 5.
627 - surname could be Borie.
631,632 - surname could be Waterton or Waterlon.
638 - surname may be Ditano. Given name could be Leila.
641 - baggage column is dark and difficult to read. Could be 7 or 9.
