DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, W.H.P. Hains, Master of the RMS Aurania do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of the City of New York is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Liverpool and Queenstown from which port said vessel has now arrived, and that on said list is truly designated the age, sex, calling, country of citizenship, native country, location of compartment or space occupied, intended destination or location, number of pieces of baggage, and date and cause of death of passengers, as required by the Passenger Act of 1882; also a true statement, so far as it can be ascertained with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country.   Immigrants other than those indicated above.
*Question marks represent letters or numbers that are unclear due to either the condition of
  the manifest or the handwriting of the list maker.  Where possible, further information
  about these letters or numbers is given in these transcriber's notes.
*An apostrophe in a name indicates that the letter following was written as a superscript.

   1 - there are two or three letters between the M and the l's.
   2,3,4 - third letter of surname could be r?,u,or y.  Fourth letter may be l,d, or t.  Surname
       could be Sh???on, Shr?lon, Shr?don, Shr?ton, Shulon, Shudon, Shuton, Shylon, Shydon,
       Shyton.
   5 - surname may be Thor.  What appears to be an s is very faint.
   7 - surname may be Monk.
  11 - age could be 29.
  12,13 - surname may be Wildon.
  14 - surname could be Brownhill.  Age may be 24.
