Transcriber's Notes:

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
  definitely.

An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.

A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.

The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
  numbered in the original manifest.

The entries "United States" and "Great Britain" in the native country and
destination country columns are shortened to "U. States" and "Gt Britain" for
  formatting reasons.

5 Passenger's full Occupation is recorded as "Com. Traveler", perhaps implying
        Commercial Traveler.

National Archives and Records Administration, Film M237, Reel 290, List 71.
