Transcriber's Notes:

* is for error by the original recorder(s) or to note other
information on the copy, added to the transcriber's notes.

? Transcriber unable to read due to the quality of the copy,
letters are too small, written over or elaborate writing.

This Manifest indicates the ship left Genova on 2 April,
Naples on 3 April, and Palermo on 4 April.

Passenger 76 is crossed out, and has no check. This usually
means that this passenger was not on this ship. All other
passengers have checks before each surname, between age and
  gender, and by Final Destination.

Recorders used the word do, or ditto, to repeat information
from a line above for related passengers in columns from
Able to Read and Write to Final Destination. Transcriber
has replaced the dittos with said information on the list.

The Italian language has no letter j, k, or w. The letter h
is only used with ch or gh.

The passenger listing above is only one page of this manifest.
Both pages can be seen on the Ellis Island Web Site.

Residences shown as Pavia appear different, some as Pavia,
others as Pavi a or Pavio, some with a space before the last
letter and o. Destinations of Winsor Locks, some look more
  like Winzor Lochs.

Occupation often misspelled, like paisant for Peasant, or macon
for mason, labourer is British spelling for laborer

Stamped at end of page is number 33.
