Richard Boyes is my great grandfather, born Nov. 6, 1867 in Bremen, Germany, died
Jne 25, 1928 in San Francisco, Ca.  
Robert Boyes, * 1770 Yorkshire, England, died 1813 in Bremen, Germany.
His 3rd child was James Bethuel Boyes (1804-1879), married Permelia Sophie 
Adeline Vogel (1813-1859). Their oldest son was Robert Boyes (1835-1908), 
married Hedwig Marie Mathilde Fritze (1838-1922). Their 3rd child was Richard Boyes. 
Richard Boyes moved to Yokohama, Japan to work for his uncle. He had 2 children with a 
Japanese Lady, Sukei Waki. Those 2 children where James Dorian Boyes (1895 - 1981) and his
sister Annie (1893 - 1958). James Dorian had one son, James Dorian, who was born in
Argentinia and died in Hamburg, Germany. James Dorian II has one son. Annie died in
Argentinia. Richard Boyes married Annie Metcalfe Sands on Oct. 8, 1900 in the district of 
Bradford in England, died Nov. 25, 1902 in Yokohama, Japan. They had one son, Alfred, my
grandfather. Alfred Boyes was born on Nov. 4, 1901 in Yokohama, Japan, died Feb. 14, 1929
in Bremen, Germany.  Alfred Boyes married Ilse Marie Mannhardt (1907-1994). 
They had 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Richard Boyes moved 
to San Francisco, Cal. in 1915. On June 19, 1920 he married Maria Letitia Lacayo 
(1890 - 1976), a native of Nicaragua. They had 2 children, Marie Letitia (1921 - 1986) 
and Richard Joseph (1928 - 1977). 
Paul Robert Boyes was born Aug. 9, 1863 in Bremen, Germany. He ran the family plantation 
in Nicaragua for many years. On June 28, 1896 he married Amy Florence Robinson 
(1868-1955). They had 3 children, John (1897-1976), Robert (1901-1970) and 
Dorothy (born 1899, she only lived 6 months). Descendants of Paul Robert Boyes 
live in California and Washington State. Richard Boyes and Paul Robert Boyes 
had a business in San Francisco.
