Notation at end of manifest: (signed) PCPetrie
Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the
transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information in
the Transcriber's Notes below.
? The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to quality
of the original document.
^ The use of a ^ indicates that the letter/letters following are superscripted.
The transcription preserves the original spelling.
All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words
indicated.
The manifest did not include psgr #s; they have been added by the transcriber.
Although the manifest scribe's handwriting was reasonably clear when recording
passenger names, the penmanship was not as clear when recording other information
such as Occupation, Origins, Destinations. Further research should be done to
confirm findings.
The manifest scribe used many different abbreviations (G B, G.B., GT B, etc.) to
record Country of Origin and Destination; they have been standardized for this
transcription.
The manifest scribe used brackets to group several persons together with respect
to packages brought aboard. The first person in the group has a "(" followed by a
number indicating the number of packages; others in the group are identified with
"(" only.
