I, Charles Thomas, Master of the S.S. "Virginia", do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said "Virginia" at Liverpool and Queenstown, from which Ports the said "Virginia" has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said Voyage and the names and ages of those who died.

  The entry "United States" in the native country and destination columns is 
  shortened to "U. States" for formatting reasons.  "Male" and "Female" in the Sex
  column is shortened to "M" and "F" for the same reason. 

  The recorder routinely substitutes "Mc" for "Mac" in the surnames of the Irish
  passengers.

685-686  Passengers' Age is overwritten and cannot be deciphered with certainty,
         but Age is likely 49 and 47, respectively.
714  Surname is recorded as "Ternay", but might possibly be "Ternan" or "Tierney".
738-742  Surname is recorded as "Brosnaham", but might possibly be "Brosnahan".
749-750  Surname is recorded as "Bechan" or "Beehan", but might possibly be
         "Behan" or "Beegan".
752  Surname is recorded as "Taughey", but might possibly be "Toughey".
761  Surname is recorded as "Minehan" or "Minchan", but might possibly be
     "Minihan" or "Minchin".
