* According to the Getty Thesaurus there are two St. Martin's Islands: One
on the Isles of Scilly in the County of Cornwall, England and the other in
the West Indies. Either place could be the origination of a French priest.
There is also a St. Martin's Island in Bangladesh which is located 10 km south
of the southern tip of Teknaf Peninsula in the Cox's Bazar district.
Correspondence added August 8, 2008 Passenger #1 A ROLLAND
To whom it may concern – The Brig Sunny South port of departure was the West Indies
– the passenger Rev. A. Rolland (RC Priest) became the founding pastor of St. Ann’s Church
in Hampton, NJ. We have traced Fr. Rolland’s footsteps from his home in Brittany, to the
West Indies and his arrival in New York.
