I, H. Wulf, Master of the Bremen Bark Stella, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect
list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Stella at Bremen from which port said Stella has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it
is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage and the names and ages of those who died. So help me God. [signed] H. Wulf

3-38 The manifest copy was extremely faint for the columns for sex, occupation,
place of origin, and destination. The information given is the best that
I could make out.

5 Second letter could be "a" or "e"; third letter could be "r" or "n."
6 Third letter could be "o"; fourth letter could be "r" or "n"; last two
letters could be "on."
7 Last name could be Haumstetter; age may be 37.
10 First initial may be "F"; last name could be Michaels, but looks more like
Michaelis.
11 First inital could be "L" or, less likely, "G."
14 Age seems to consist of only 1 digit.
17 Last name could be Hartmann.
18 The "u" in the last name is umlauted.
20 The "u" in the last name may be umlauted, or this could be an "i" and another
letter, and the "c" could be an "o."
21 Last name could be Leubold.
23 First-name initial may be "A."
24 The "u" in the last name is umlauted, or the last name may be Weipperhorst.
