Ship Southampton

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Isaiah Pratt Master of the Ship Southampton do solemnly, sincerely and truly (omitted) that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York,is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship Southampton at London from which port said Ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and theoccupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

The transcription preserves the original spelling.

The manifest did not include psgr #s; they have been added by the transcriber.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words 
indicated.

The manifest scribe used brackets to indicate Space Occupied; these brackets lines 
have been replaced with the actual word/words indicated.

The manifest scribe used a Germanic letter resembling 'fs'; to aid in reading, these 
have been transcribed to 'ss'.

14  First name partially illegible because of damage from adhesive tape repair, could 
    be Lewis. 
56  Next to last letter of surname obscured by lower extension of letter 'y' in 
    surname above, could be Bilbauer.
62  3rd letter of surname not clear, could be Boxall.
79  Last letters of surname not clear, could be Whichelow.
