I, G Johannsen, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Bremen Ship Schiller whereof I am Master, from Bremen. So help me God, G Johannsen
Sworn to this 22 April 1851, before me H Ca??ma DC.

I G Johannes master of the Bremen Ship Schiller from Bremen arrived on the 22nd April
1851 do truly and sincerely swear that the following five passengers, entered upon my
manifest as Steerage Passengers, were Cabin passengers and that such were in the Cabin
during my late voyage.

Transcriber's Notes:

*  Use of a * indicates further information in the Transcribers or Passenger Notes.
*  Use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read, due to quality of
   original document.
*  The final addition column at the bottom of the page was written in handwriting
   other than G Johansen's.
*  Occupations: Spelling is as shown.  Schoemaker means shoemaker; Briklayer is
   bricklayer; M Serv is maidservant; taylor is tailor.
*  Location: Strumphelbrunn has umlauts over both u.


      4  Surname is Beickler, Bieckler, or Buckler (with umlaut).
     59  This family also appears to include passenger #66 though the spelling varies
         slightly.
     66  This passenger appears to be with family #59-65 though the spelling varies
         slightly.
 78- 79  Sexes of these two passengers appear to be transposed.
    122  Either sex of f(emale) or "her son" is in error.
    134  Philip the carpenter is undoubtely a male.
    167  Franz is undoubtedly a son.
    198  Her surname adds a 't' for Schwindt, though the people she is listed with are
         Schwind.


Correspondence added July 30, 2007, passenger 118, Regina Strumpfler and 134, Philip Kupferschmitt
Comment by descendant:
Passengers #134-138 should have corrected surname of Kupferschmitt.  Philip
Kupferschmitt married passenger #118, Regina Strumpfler, shortly after
arriving in New York.  They settled in Brooklyn and had several children.
