Transcribers Notes:
? A question mark indicates material that was indecipherable.
* An asterisk indicates further information may be found in the Passenger Notes.
The recorder of the manifest often abbreviated given names by writing the first few letters
of the name, then skipping letters and then writing the final letter as superscripted
or does a simple abbreviation. In the case of superscipts, the transcriber uses the
symbol (^) to indicate that the following letter is superscripted, i.e., Tho^s for
Thomas, Sam^l for Samuel, W^m for William, etc. Simple abbreviations are transcribed as recorded.
There were a few people with nothing listed under occupation. That area has been left blank.
3 The last letter might be 'e' but difficult to read.
16 & 17 These are the two exceptions that did not list the United States as the country
in which they intend to become inhabitants. They listed the West Indies.
26-29 Could also be McGocy.
31 A Mantuamaker is a dressmaker.
32 & 33 Middle part of the occupation is unreadable.
46 Occupation was listed with ditto marks under the father's(?) occupation.
Highly unlikely but listed here for the sake of accuracy.
48 Occupation was listed with ditto marks under the husband's(?) occupation.
Highly unlikely but listed here for the sake of accuracy.
