Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark indicates material that was indecipherable.
An asterisk indicates further information found in the passenger notes.
A caret ^ indicates letters written in superscript, usually the ending of an
abbreviated name.
The writer of this list (may be the captain whose name is not German) seems not
to be German because of the odd spellings of obviously Germanic names, whereas
the American place names are all correctly spelled. In many cases I have added a
speculation in the passenger notes on what the name might or ought to have been.
