Liverpool, England to New York
18 January 1858

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, MK Moore, Master of the Ship Ontario do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship Ontario at the port of Lpool from which port said Ship Ontario has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on the Voyage, and Part of the vessel occupied by each passenger during the voyage. The country of origin for all passengers was Ireland, the destination for all passengers was United States, no deaths were recorded on this voyage, and the Space Occupied for all passengers was 2^nd cabin; these columns have been omitted.

11-12  4th letter of surname not clear, could be Clare or Clase.
22     Most of surname is illegible because of handwriting.
23     3rd and 4th letters of surname not clear, could be Bresks.
24     3rd letter of surname not clear, could be Jolan or Jotan.
36     3rd letter of first name not clear, could be Larn; 6th letter of surname not
       clear, could be McClure or McCluse.
38     3rd letter of surname not clear, could be Larkin or Laskin.
41     Center letters of surname smeared, illegible.
42-44  Center letters of surname smeared, illegible, could be Kelley.
46-52  The microfilm of this manifest contains a duplication of the manifest for
       psgrs #46 - 52. Because this duplication was not created by the manifest
