Brig Nigreta
I, W.H. Jordan Master of the Bg. Nigreta do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Bg. at Arroyo From which port said Bg. has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupation by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant, and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

List or Manifest OF ALL THE Passengers taken on board the Bg. Nigreta whereof W.H. Jordan is Master, from Arroyo burthen 390 tons.
Columns represent: Name, Age Year and Month, Sex, Occupation, The country in which they severally belong, The country in which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on voyage, Part of the vessel occupied by said passenger during the voyage.

? The use of a ? indicates a letter that could not be read, due to the quality
of the original document.
* Collector of Customs: (in the sworn statement) Name is essentially undecipherable.
It may begin with an "M" and may end with the subscripted abbreviation: DC which
probably stands for Deputy Collector.
* The port of departure is only given as Arroyo. The port of Arroyo is in Puerto Rico
but there are also ports in Spain which have Arroyo in their name.
2 This being a female it is difficult to say what the Captain had in mind.
3 Has a letter part way above the line and just a little below the line this may
be one of the following letters, j,f, g,. It is an abbreviated spelling.
