DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Robt Craig, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Steam Ship "New York" whereof I am Master, from Glasgow.

The handwriting on this manifest was difficult to read because of bleeding of 
ink into the paper. Extra research should be undertaken to confirm findings.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual 
words indicated.

The manifest did not include psgr #s; they have been added by the transcriber.
