DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Arthur Champion, Master of the Ship New World do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear to the best of my (three words cannot read) that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship New World at London from which port the said Ship New World has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant, and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. There were no deaths on this passage, therefore the death column has been eliminated.
All passengers stated the country in which they intend to become inhabitants is the
 United States, therefore this column has been eliminated.


 1-6   There are four letters after the "G".  Appears to be a vowel, consanent, 
       vowel, and "n".  Name could be Geren, Geran, Gaven, Gavan, Gevan
 7-12  May be Tout, Treat, Trout, Trent.  Occupation first word appears condensed,
       unknown letters small, maybe Commercial Traveler
13     Last name may be Sharp, Shoop, Sheep, letters very dark and small
14     First name condensed, unable to read
15     Name may be Marchent, Marchant, Marchens, Merchant, Merchent
16     Name may be McLarty, McLerty
21     Name may be Sykes, Lykes, Tykes
23     First name may be Wm
24     Name may be Barrett, Barnett
25&31  Both are the same last name.  First letter is either S or T.  Possible names
       are Sumer, Semer, Sumar, Semar, Tumar, Tumer, Temar, Temer
27     Last name could be Gearoy, Georoy, Genroy, Gearey, Georey, Genrey
28     Last name could be Downing, Dronning, Donning
35-41  The Denton's can be found in 1880 in Cold Spring Twp, Illinois

46-51  This name may be Mudd or Hudd.  Mudds are found on 1880 Census in New York
