Transcriber's Notes:

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that cannot be transcribed
  definitely.

A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.

An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.

The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
  numbered in the original manifest.

The entries "United States" or "Great Britain" in the native country and destination
country columns are shortened to "U. States" and "Gt Britain", respectively, for
  formatting reasons.
