SS Matanzas


Matanzas, Cuba to New York

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, W^m Liesegang, master of USM SS Matanzas do solemnly, sincerely, and truly affirm that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said S. Ship at Matanzas from which port said S. Ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the voyage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the USM SS Matanzas whereof W^m Liesegang, is master, from Matanzas, burthen 862 tons.
Columns represent: name, age (in yrs. and mos.), sex, occupation, country to which they belong, country which they intend to inhabit, died on voyage, and part of the ship occupied by passenger during the voyage. As all intended to become U.S. inhabitants, no one died on the voyage and all were cabin passengers; those columns were eliminated.

 2  Fourth letter of surname could not be deciphered.  It could be a 'c' or an "e'.  
 9  Last 2 letters could not be deciphered.  Name could be abbreviated.
