I, Gottfried Wenke, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear, that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all passengers received on board the Bark Kosmos whereof I am Master, from Bremen, so help me God, sworn to the 29 January 1855 G. Correspondence 04/21/2005 passengers #29-32 Bott
My husband's Great, Great Grandfather George Bott, 35, bricklayer
and his wife Margarete Zahn Bott and two of their children were on
this passenger list. George and his family settled in New Sewickley Twp.,
Beaver County, Pa. on a farm near where many of his descendants still
live. He had 8 children, one of whom was George Jr., also a bricklayer,
who had 5 children, son Walter,my husband John's Grandfather was also a
bricklayer. Walter Bott had three children, Wilmer, Dolores and Zelma.
His daughter Zelma Marie was my husband John Mohrbacher's mother.
Notice they traveled with many of their Zahn relatives and settled near
them also in New Sewickley Twp.Beaver County, Pa. Bonnie Mohrbacher
