Brig Katie
I, A Jayne, Master of the Dan Brig Katie, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly declare that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said Brig at St. Croix, from which Port the said Brig has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said Voyage and the names and ages of those who died.

List or Manifest of ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the Dan Brig Katie whereof Jayne is Master, from St Croix, burthen 153 34/100 tons.
Columns represent: given name and surname, age, sex, occupation, the country to which they severally belong, the country of which they intend to become inhabitants, the part of the vessel occupied during the voyage, and a notation if the passenger died during the voyage.

States Cabin 4 Edward M Cleveland 21 Male Clerk Hartford U. States Cabin Transcriber's Notes: A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that cannot be transcribed definitely. The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not numbered in the original manifest. The designation "Dan Brig Katie" in the Captain's sworn statement at the beginning of the manifest likely implies that the Brig Katie is of Danish ownership or registry. Correspondence added 9-9-2005, passenger WOLFENBERG I found the sister of an ancestor on this transcription. Andrea Wolfenberg was sister the Lagerte Wolfbenberg, my Ggrandmother – why she was on this ship without family at 12 yrs old and what happened to her is a mystery I would like to solve Thanks for you help, Joe Ginorio Home Page of Francisco Jose Ginorio Viscal
