I, P. von Fritzen, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the
following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered
by me to the Collector of Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the
best of my knowledge and belief a just and true account of all the Passengers
received on board the Ship Johannes whereof I am Master, from Liverpool.

the Voyage. No Sex designation was entered, all psgrs were from Great Britain, and
the destination for all passengers was United States; these columns have been

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words
indicated.
The manifest scribe used vertical lines to probably indicate continuation of last
written word(s). Those words have been inserted in place of the vertical lines.
The manifest scribe crossed out all information for psgr #152 and reused the
psgr #; in order to include this psgr in the transcribed manifest, the transcriber
renumbered the following numbers.
The right-hand column on manifest pgs. 3-5 (psgr #s 82-207) was blurred by the
camera lens; any legible notations in that column have been included below.
Captain's name is entered as P. von Fritzen; his signature is D. von ???,
illegible because the signature runs off the side of the microfilm.
