Transcribers Notes:
? = Approximate number of letters that are unreadable due to fading, smears, torn
paper etc.
* = Attention to the Transcribers List below.
^ = The following letter is superscripted
Captain - His name is written in three places and are almost illegible in all
three. This is best estimate.
Original list taker often lifted his pen in the middle of words, making them seem
like two words.
All passengers were in a 'Cabin' so that column was left blank
There were no deaths so the column 'Died on Voyage' was left blank.
Any blank in the columns was that way on the original.
In the 'Occupation Column', sometimes 'Merchant' was spelled out and sometimes it
was 'Mercht'
1 - Last name could also be 'Chel'.
14 - Middle name is merely as shown 'H^n'. Could be anything.
16 - First name is 'C^s', Possibly Charles.
22 - Last name is very poorly written. It could also be Joranrick.
27 - First name could also be 'Leka'.
28 - The name given is as close as can be determined.
42 - First name could also possibly be 'Feelman'.
51 - Last name could also be 'Hull'.
60 - Occupation is probably 'Child' due to his age.
63 - First name is probably 'Robert'
64 - In 'Country they intend to become inhabitants' - Mr. Old is listed clearly
as USA and Mrs. Old is clearly listed as 'England'. No explanation except
maybe an error by list taker.
65 - Last name could possibly be 'St. Germain'.
71 - First name is very badly written. This is nearest estimation.
78 - in 'Occupation' - Marion Sr is fairly clear, but meaning is unknown.
