Ship's Recapitulation (unsigned):
Ship Ivanhoe
Jany 2/51
Lpool
There were many light notations of adding up psgrs in
various way, but no direct notation of a full
recapitulation.
Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the
transcriber or is used to call your attention to additional information in
the Transcriber's Notes below.
? The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to
quality of the original document.
The manifest scribe did not number the psgrs; this has been added by the
transcriber.
Unless otherwise noted, the Country of Origin is Ireland.
All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual
words indicated.
The use of a ^ indicates that the following letter/letters are superscripted.
The manifest scribe used a Germanic script resembling 'fs'; these have been
transcribed to ss.
1-3 Identified as Cabin Passengers. All other information was omitted.
20 Sex omitted.
40 Age smeared and illegible.
117 Death information started on line with psgr 117 and was completed on line
with psgr 118.
160 'x' is written lightly in the Occupation column. Death notice began on
line with psgr 160 and was completed with psgr 161.
161 Age appears as 2 1/2 mos on manifest.
266 'x' is written lightly in the Occupation column.
283 Because of a roll in the top of the page, the first and third letters of
surname are not legible. Both letters extend above the line such as 'R',
'h', etc.
285 3rd letter of surname is not clear, could be Blatter or Blotter.
291 3rd letter of surname is not clear, could be Read or Redd.
312 'x' is written lightly in the Age (mos) column.
338 First name and Sex do not agree. It looks as though 'John' was the
original first name and corrected to 'Johanna'.
352 Because of tape applied to top of page, the beginning of the first name is
very dark and illegible.
375 Because of a roll in the top of the page, the first letter of the surname
is not clear, could be Kyons or Ryons.
395 First name omitted.
